Another experiment today after reading the Strobist blog yesterday on how to photograph water droplets with one speedlight (flash). Pretty neat effects and results. Comments are always welcome!
So…I’ve been working through some of David Hobby’s Strobist Blog assignments with my Nikon D300, SB800 speedlight, and the Nikon Creative Lighting System for flash control, and one of the most fun was working with light modifiers. One of the modifiers I used on these photos of our cat is called a “snoot”. It’s simply a tube placed over the speedlight (flash) head that directs the light in a confined area. What do you think?
I’m close to getting our blog and photo site back online after some time off due to technical diffculties. Spent the past two days rebuilding the site, uploading photo sets and previous trip reports. More to do, but it will be worth the work. I hope you’ll agree!
The underwater photography website myunderwaterpix.com has thrown out an assignment for sea turtle photos….so I uploaded a few from the Kona Aggressor and my most recent trip to Roatan….check ‘em out here…we’ll see how well we do.
Just a sample:
After a few months of not blogging, we’re back at it. We had some difficulties with spam and other bad things, but now we’ve got everything up to speed with a new photo gallery system and a re-installation of Wordpress. We hope you enjoy the new format!
